Being a single mom is undoubtedly one of the toughest jobs in the world. Balancing work, parenting, and self-care can sometimes feel like an uphill battle. But there's good news – you don't have to do it all on your own. In my recent podcast episode, I talk about 6 of the 15 tips to help you avoid burnout.

The six tips, include:

1. Plug into Jesus:

Find your source of spiritual strength. Whether you're religious or not, having a strong foundation can provide comfort and guidance in challenging times.

2. Stop Comparing Yourself to the Jones:

Comparing your life to others can be a joy-stealer. Focus on your unique journey and accomplishments, rather than trying to keep up with anyone else.

3. Don't Be a Lone Ranger, Seek Community:

Lean on your support network. Friends, family, or support groups can provide invaluable assistance, advice, and companionship.

4. Stop Being a Yes Girl:

Learn to set boundaries. It's okay to say no when you need to. Prioritize your own well-being and don't overcommit.

5. Break the Chains of Stinking Thinking:

Challenge negative thought patterns. Replace self-doubt and criticism with positive affirmations and self-compassion.

6. Time Outs Are Not Just for Toddlers:

Recognize when you need a break. Taking short timeouts for self-care can help you recharge and approach challenges with a clear mind.

Being a single mom is a journey filled with unique challenges, but it's also an opportunity for immense growth and strength. These 15 tips, inspired by the book I'm writing will help you navigate the path of single motherhood. By plugging into your spiritual source, seeking community, setting boundaries, and practicing self-care, you can avoid burnout and create a fulfilling life for yourself and your children. Remember, you're stronger than you think, and you've got this and better yet God got you!
